I'm not sure if this is the correct category but I need a little advice.
I would like to sell shares in an existing private company, the shareholder's agreement states that I must present them to existing shareholders first but the directors have requested (suggested) I find a private buyer and agree on a price and then offer them to the existing shareholders, trying to slow the process down.
I'm sure they have suggested this because they feel I won't find a buyer in this current climate.
My question is what information am I able to request from the company in order to facilitate a private sale?
I will need to give any prospective buyer information.
Also can anyone suggest any sites where selling shares in a private company may be possible?
Thank you for any help and advice in advance.
