This is a continual dilemma for companies wanting to raise money.
Do they give it to the small shareholders or do they go with the professional investors.
No matter what the price, the small shareholders winge that it is not cheap enough. When it is cheap they push down the share price and churn shares so that the shareprice is slow to recover if ever. Then they winge that the placement ruined the share price.
The obvious answer is to place with professional investors. This placement would be over now if it was done that way.
Then the small shareholders winge that it went to insiders and they weren't given a chance.
The conclusion is that there is no way to make a placement which will please small shareholders. They are never happy.
Support it if you wish. Dont if you feel that way. The placement is largely underwritten and I don't think that BOW really cares if the money comes in or not.
They can fund the Donga and Wompi is free carried. They don't need money until March next year. Success at Donga is worth 50 cents and Wompi, 30 cents to $1.00.
After that would be a better time to raise a few dollars.
