How much do people know about ASEAN Investment Management?
What have they done in the past?
Is there a way to check their performance as to what have they done for the share holders vs their own agenda (=$$$)?
They are based out of Cayman Islands, which itself raises alarm bells and it is run by financial advisors. The shareholders are anyways stuffed, whether we stay with the current mob or the new ones take over.
I have personally experienced this in the past where a similar event took place where the management was toppled. The mob who took over gave us all sorts of promise that the SP will end up in 2 digits etc etc. At the end, we were less than a cent before the company was sold to a chinese company. Later we found out that the management team joined the new company as 'consultants'.
Unfortunately ASIC will never investigate the shoddy dealings and how many under the table asset sell off took place. We knew that the assets at the time were worth 50 times the SP, but at the end share holders got nothing.
It will be good to know if they have been involved in similar dealings in the past and whether they have sold off assets once they toppled the management.
I have 2 choices, either vote for the current management and continue to get scre..d or vote for these guys and 'hope' we dont get scre..d.
