IMO, only RM had the resource and money to get the land incorrect change from customary to registered land, are you sure it's not because of this where he has pissed off both sides after the Court of Appeals correctly void it???? and I am sure they will have "influence" on the other landowners.

To be honest, due to what you stated, it's very hard to be successful other there and investors should have thought about it, more so given the direction of what RM management has done, should have focus the resource and money on producing a JORC and PFS/DFS for SJ....wonder why he didn't do that?
