thanks for your analysis and coverage. I've been holding AOE since July 08 and believe like yourself that it is a well-managed company with good prospects. I did hold SHG and sold at the bid offer. Their reserves weren't as good as what AOE has however still managed to attract QGC's bid.

With regards to today's share price drop it is just the big boys playing some games. I've noticed such drops happen before big takeover announcements just to trump the weak holders in the market. So it seems (excuse the pun) that something is around the corner especially given today's announcement about the power generator going live. This must be a confidence boost for Shell and other sharks out there to know that AOE are serious.
