Well I suspect your gut feel is going to be right.
I have spoken to many CEO's and company officers over the years. They (mostly) don't lie and they don't divulge market sensitive info.

So it always comes down to listening to the tone of voice and "body" language. And it's the things they don't say that are more important than what they do say.

After all the crap that has gone down if they had good
news to release the guy wouldn't be able to help feeling bubbly and positive and relieved and you would "feel" that in the conversation. So I suspect what you felt is what it is.

Let's just hope there's enough left that we can at least trade it.
