Buying = orders crossing to meet the ask/offer
Selling = orders crossing to meet the bid
With orders lining up at the bid and ask, it’s fair to categorise trades as either a buy or a sell depending on which crosses to meet the opposing side.
. . . That is how share trading works. Simples!!!
