IMVHO the market is only there for the brave and poorly informed now. We had the Santa rally but the ASX has been soft ever since. The up days have shown no conviction, only bad news is noticed.

My take on the average of the fortune tellers who go into print around the new year is that this year we could get an unconvincing small rise or a 50% drop. I don't like those odds so I'm out of the market. I'm shocked to read that in the US [I assume similar here] there is record margin borrowing for shares. That looks ominous to me. If selling starts it can overshoot on the downside easily.
