Based on your figures, the compound rate of growth is about 7.5%.
You also commented that "analysts" are forecasting the ASX to fall a further 30%. Presumably, you are referring to Gerard Minack from Morgan Stanley, who has a target of 3500 on the ASX...he's had that target for the last 18months or so, if I remember correctly. But you should be careful for what you wish for; Minack is forecasting property in Aus to fall 30-40%.
