The other advantage of buying options is you can attain the same amount of shares (or right to buy) for much less money up-front, meaning you can use the money elsewhere, or attain more shares than you would be able to now, on the basis that you will have more money to pay for the rest later on. It's almost like a free loan.
I always look to buy options first depending on expiry and premium.
