Its never happened to me, options expiring worthless. Obviously you need to be more vigilant with options, tighter stopp-losses etc, but the rewards far outweigh the risks if you are careful. I rarely buy options close to expiry though, although MPOOA has been an exception recently. Also less risky in a bull market such as this resource boom.
