Last year I was playing a Kingston Heath Golf Club when a thunderstorm broke and my playing partners and I took shelter in the Course Superintendents office. His computer was logged on to Nearmap. Apparently they use the histories to monitor the erosion of bunker edges around the course. Nearmap allows them to identify changes within tolerances inside a metre.
