WF, you are too naïve (when it comes to CTO at least).
So far they always managed to find money, the thing is, that most of this money found the way into the management's bank accounts.
Even if they managed to find another foolish investor, in the name of starting up a mine, they would use the funds for their own benefit, to survive and live comfortable for a few more years longer.
My gut feeling is, that they finally run out of luck. no one falls for their empty promises any longer, and the end is not far.
