Hi friends,
VPG remains a pre-loved stock on the list of several traders I know...and which has probably fallen off the radar in the past several months. I thought I'll take a look at it strictly on a short term basis and share with friends some of my findings ( this is the Short Term Trading subforum of HC), and leave the longer term aspects to the fundamental investors, traders and analysts who are much better placed to comment on this stock for the long term in the main VPG forum.
Short term traders have two main questions about VPG at present:
1. Is time ripe for an entry into VPG for the short term?
2. What are the projected targets for the next potential swing entry?
Here is a short term swing chart of VPG with two subcharts- the "Beyond Good and Evil(BGAE)" chart and the Overbought Oversold Oscillator chart.
Observations:
================
1.From the BGAE chart, the yellow circles showing the crossing of the white indicator line with the horizontal dotted pink line at zero marks the previous Entry positions of VPG. I have drawn corresponding pink arrows to the price to indicate where the entry positions were signalled.
2. The white indicator line has just crossed below the pink horizontal zero line ( marked "You are here now"), and is still pointing downwards.
3. I have marked a graphic representation of where the white indicator line would suggest a possible entry position on the chart. This is a mere representation and has no relevance as to time and price of possible signal.
4. The second subchart is an Overbought-Oversold oscillator chart of VPG. The entry signal is indicated when the blue and red oscillator moves up in synergy together from the oversold region ( red dots ) to cross the bottom dotted horizontal yellow line at 10.00. I have circled the past entry positions indicated by the Overbought-Oversold oscillators.
5. Again, I have marked a graphic representation of the next entry position ( it has no relevance to time and price ).
From the subcharts, we can get a reasonable understanding of the price movements ( eg how overbought or oversold we are, are we near to an entry position etc ), and to get a slightly clearer perspective of VPG trend in the short term.
There is no reason for us to move into answering question 2 above since there is no entry signal sighted at present for the short term on the basis of the charts above.
Hope these charts have been somewhat useful to friends who are interested to get a technical view of VPG strictly for the short term.
Cheers
