If has second sentence was actually:
"Syrah; two or three others around $100M, then it falls to $50M."

Then it all falls into place.

It is inconceivable that Vince Pisani, one of the best-informed analysts in the country, with a deep knowledge of the graphite industry, would not be aware that SYR has a market cap close to $500M. so he would merely be stating which companies do, in fact, have a MC greater than $100M.

This is pure guesswork, but I think it makes more sense than the words quoted.

Prime, my understanding was that capitalisation was shareholder equity less long term debt, whereas market capitalisation was purely share price multiplied by the number of shares on issue without taking debit into consideration. That being said, SYR's debt is not large enough to warrant the figures quoted.
