GVHD patients can't be grouped and then wait for their trial day, it is rapidly fatal. The patients will turn up at random and then must consent quickly to participate in the trial. Many patients may have met criteria but didn't consent hence no patients recruited. It is a big decision to consent to a first in man clinical trial.
