Humane Society International seems to be telling a whopper...definitely an agenda going on here.
My understanding is that the sheep are checked prior to loading/departure by veterinary officers to ensure they are well and truly able to travel via ship to the Middle East, Indonesia and wherever else they go. Given this, it is highly improbable that fattened sheep are likely to start dying so close to home on such a voyage...jeez, they even survived the 6 month trip by sailing ships from England in the late 1700's without the comparative luxuries current day sheep are afforded.
The increased shark attacks more probably related to increased numbers of sharks due to their current protective status, increased fishing depleting the shark's preferred diet ie hunger and/or increased numbers of surfers entering the waters (since the mining boom?).
Addit Odd surname Ms Wellbelove, sounds 'changed'.
