SHARK ATTACK
Annabelle Cottee asked: There have been five fatal shark attacks in WA water in less than a year, leading to several calls for great white shark species to be removed from the protected species list. The great white shark is an apex predator which is vital to the ocean ecosystem. Why can't the authorities look into alternatives, such as a shark spotters program like they have in South Africa, or even shark nets? Why hasn't there been any research into why there are more shark attacks in WA? Has offshore mining in WA impacted on the fish supply?
