Cheers Spy, another ripper post.

I am constantly amazed at how people cannot foresee the flow-on effect this tax will have. Every aspect of your consumer life will be taxed. Even if they choose not to impose this tax on certain industry (primary for example), that industry still relies on others to get product to the market.

Now let's see. This new tax would make the Australian-made/owned product more expensive. The can of baked beans from Australia or the cheaper imported product. Yes, this will hurt Aussie businesses maybe in the same way he textile industry was killed off.

The only option for gov't to protect aussie businesses will be to.....you guessed it...increase import taxes. So for the consumer there will be no where to run and nowhere to hide.

And before any supporters of the current mish mash 'gov't' try to reply, don't bother because I have you all on ignore.
