Surfrat,
Your math is wrong:
Suppose AJ makes as CEO $5,000,000 per year and works 90 hour weeks 48 weeks per year. (this is kind of in line with my working hours). That means AJ's salary is around $1,157.40 per hour.
Now if a QANTAS pilot earns $536,000 per year (See NewsCorp reports) and flies no more than 463.1 hours per year or 38.6 hours per month or 8.9 hours per week. Then on an hourly basis the pilot makes more than the CEO. The question is how many hours do the pilots getting the $536,000 per year fly?
I am sure AJ has the answer but then does not include such things as standby time or non-flight hours. This is no different from mining industry addvertisements for janitors and plumbers etc on over $500,000p.a. on annualised full time rates.
