This is a tough game. We have been in a bear market for spec stocks for a while. Grunge implied a while ago in a post I was down ramping PWN to lower the price for me to buy at. I dont think I have ever down ramped the stock, I have said what I thought. Naturally I kick the tyres, so to speak to try and understand the investment potential. Over the years in other situations, I may have been swayed by up rampers and this has cost me. Not that I blame them, my decisions are my own. I try to be realistic. Research will only tell you so much. Every stock has its unknows that you have to guess what is most probable. Everyone has different opinions, experience and perception. You can only make decisions for yourself and act accordingly.
I grew up in a farming community next to a massive brine pond (the Tasman Sea). No one worried about it. They often moaned about the wind. It picked up the salt and rusted the fencing wires and any other steel it came in contact with. Back then as so today farmers would load their utes up with mineral blocks, which are predominately salt and drive round throwing them out in paddocks. So I dont see salt as a serious ecological threat. Nothing in the articles posted here makes me reconsider this opinion. An article on a salt encapsulation facility failing and causing an ecological disaster might. So I believe salt encapsulation as a solution to CSG brine would be satisfactory. That said if the brines could be reprocessed either profitably or to offset some of the cost involved, that would be ideal.
What do I think now about PWN after it being on my watch list for a year? I owned some shares in it for a month or two selling out at 1.4 last year. Anything can happen, I dont have a super power. But my concern is there is nothing compelling the gas companies in the near term signing up for the upstream or down stream plants envisioned by the company. If they run out of pond capacity they might install modular plants to concentrate the brine but there is no guarantee they will be PWNs. Even the downstream process is not with out risk that another company might hack the tech or develop competing technology. Why sign up for something with limited proof of performance when the decision can be put off for several years? If new wells are developed, new brine ponds will be part of the development, still providing storage for years before a permanent solution is required.

I do respect your thoughts and view at PWN and if it would be 2020 or 2021 I would agree more with you .. but a few reasons/ arguments make me asking if you have researched PWN …?

# the tech is working on a small and mid scale
# on the large scale PWN and Client are just in the
middle of evaluating the results
# ADF has bought their technology in Q1
# there was a merge un Q2 that enables PWN to execute up- and downstream projects and all other basic technology project in-house.
# their research showroom is ready to receive clients for presentations

I would say, they are ready for take off - however, they still need to show a solid profit development which I expect to happen with the Q3 quarterly. I don’t want them to jump from 1 cent to 20 Cent in a month but within 2 years or so …
