Phoned WHL this morning but Steve Noske not available.
Was asked to put my query in an email which I did about 10:30am and still waiting for a reply.
Look at page 1 of WHL's ASX release dated 19/9 and you can see on the 'location' map how unusual Permit WA-460-P looks. The great news is that Palta 1 is only 10-15km south of WHL's permit. It could of been 100km+ away as Shell's WA-384-P is a huge permit.
This makes it a key guide to what WHL could expect. Dust or big bucks.
Shell are no mugs in this game...I'd be betting on a hydrocarbon discovery. How much oil, condensate, and gas they discover will also be key to WHL.
Will follow them up Monday if no response as I'm off to the pub now.
