BHP or RIO are the only companies that are Australian enough to be allowed a takeover. Simplistically it looks as though Shell is making a gift to BHP.
Can't be as simple as that.
Shell will probably still be entitled to two directors with 24% of WPL and they still own 1/6 of the NWS project don't they?.
