From a profit perspective the stable political, social and security issue of texas pose a massive advantage in reduced costs for the entire ventures. No guarding pipelines, tankers and personal (within reason), no having to use forieng diplomats, translators, mediators and in many case bribes to do business.
The beneftis to these majors of doing business onshore close to the demand is monumental and so far has been imo well and truly under estimated by investors.
