shells implicit interest

    Gday BOWers,

I was just scratching my head about risks to BOWs future prosperity. I have always had the development timeframes for the Bowen-Surat pipeline in my sights as potential barrier to near-term value.

Shells interest in Arrow could be taken in many ways, however there is no indication that it places a specific value on the Bowen assets. Interestingly, I had always thought that most value would in fact be placed on their Surat assets because this is what they are focusing on for supply to LNG Ltd for the first 1.5 mtpa train.

Even BGs acquisitions of both Pure and SHG(QGC) both had Surat and Bowen assets - the latter of which BOW is firmly jammed between with the Blackwater prospects. The market never really got to see much from the Atria/Dingonose/Duckworth prospects other than the coals had high gas contents at prospective depths.

The recent commentary in the media about AGLs assets being a potential target by Shell now has me thinking otherwise as AGL are heavily into the Bowen with the Moranbah project and surrounding interests.

This places a specific value on the Bowen assets, of which BOW has the largest independent 100% owned and operated position in that basin.

    Go BOW.

    SF
