SHERLOCK BAY EXTENDED PROJECT, EASTERN PILBARA, WESTERN AUSTRALIA. 1. INTRODUCTION The Sherlock Bay Extended project is located in the eastern Pilbara of Western Australia and surrounds Australian Resources (ARH) Sherlock Bay N ickel deposit, which has a resource in excess of 100,000 tonnes of contained nickel metal, with an in-ground value of more than $4 billion, at current nickel prices. The Sherlock Bay Extended project is prospective for both precious and base metal mineralisation. 2. LOCATION & ACCESS The Sherlock Bay project is located in the eastern Pilbara, approximately 1250 kilometres to the north of Perth, in Western Australia. The project is 75 kilometres east of Karratha and is accessed via the North West Highway, then internal roads and tracks. The project is supported well logistically, with port facilities at nearby Port Hedland, as well as paved roads, a gas pipeline and reticulated power in the southern project area.
