If my memory serves me correctly I believe that it did , in its recent announcement ...if read carefully .
Blow away all smoke , at the end of the day project economics will determine the value of the Sherlock Bay Ni project and the SBR EV . The deposit is well known , and documented , from many angles ; resource size and grade ; mining methodologies ; pit design ; ore chemistry/processing and etc . As I said in an earlier post , it is pretty much shovel ready and that is one of the key attractions for me . Who wants to spend 7 years doing all the work that has already been done to establish a mine ?
The other part of the risk/reward equation that comes in to play is how much faith you have in the Electric Vehicle / battery/storage story that has been forecast , and is in the early stages of unfolding .
A simple Thesis : The EV / battery story is real ; demand for Ni ( sulphate ) increases as projected ; the price of battery quality Ni increases significantly ; Sherlock Bay is ready and waiting !
If SBR , in time , declares the project as economically sound ,I 'm not going to speculate on what the EV might be other than to say $4.5m appears to be a tad on the low side .
But , again , you are correct .....the herd will await the sound of the starters pistol .
