Porter is guilty, by my reckoning, of ignoring the reality that women and others suffer as a consequences of our collective biases and prejudices. I've heard that "ignorance is no excuse" in the law, and as a supreme legal authority, Porter had the responsibility to lead the protection of rights of women and others. He has failed his responsibility and lied to the public and press.
