In the second half of your post while talking about the CEO Lee Finniear you said : "It just seems like he is trying to keep the company running one week at a time to get his salary (His total for 2010 was over $551,000 with salary, bonus and other payments)".
I haven't verified your number, although I thought his base salary was around $280K or something before the usual extras. I don't think the exact breakdown matters. You are entitled to your opinion, but in my experience a total of $551K for salary + bonuses + other payments is not actually a big deal these days. IMHO you made an unfortunate comment because it betrays a complete superficial lack of knowledge about what is going on here, and what has been going on for several years with the tenacity of this CEO and the MST Board. Whatever happens in the next month or two, I have to say that after talking 'with' (not 'at') Lee for years, it is just so very wide of the mark to even suggest that he is motivated by keeping his modest salary coming 'one week at a time'....
For what it is worth, I believe blind Freddie can see that if Lee and the Company are successful in (hopefully) winning the MPM contract, and then certainly progressing the Maul enforcement story in the next 18 months, then MST will be very successful. At that point, this shareholder for one will be 'demanding' that the Company reward the CEO with a much more appropriate remuneration package - one that is fitting of a successful arms company, and one that did not happen by accident while a few shareholders might have thought the CEO was supposedly coasting.
Good Luck.
