Re q2 - the identical volumes at same price - this is algorithmic trading. Some very clever person has decided that it would be more efficient to execute their client's requirements to buy a quantity at around $2 (or whatever) in lots of 1363 (or sometimes 1364), with buys executed microseconds apart. You need to be very, very clever to understand why this is so - I suspect it is a nothing more than a fad, but someone scored a decent bonus by inventing it.
