In WA electricity is in tightest demand and most valuable when solar panels are producing. This is because system load fluctates with airconditioning.
Hence solar panels are a good match to the system.
Wind is only a variable generated whereas the desal is a steady power consumer.
Power from particular sources doesn't go to particular users. All the electricity goes into a 'pool'.
