Spoke to a guy at Toll this week and he told me 15 years plus is a good life for transit use, however he did say that there is a high demand for second hand containers world wide and at times there is a huge shortage.
Apparently the second hand ones bring a good prices as their use is very versatile. They are generally water proof and secure. He quoted a guy in Victoria that tendered for 100 at $1200 each and then sold them online in just one weekend and doubled his money on the deal.
