The FOB vs CNF thing is an interesting one. Some of the Chinese dont want to take the shipping risk either. Shipping (price) risk is not the whole issue. Its the counterparty risk that is also issue here. FMG have traded freight as a commodity (seperate profit centre) and its turned ugly when dodgy shipping /trading companies have walked away. FMG being a more substantial company cant just walk away...
