Despite the Chinese doing their best to play down demand on IO there are multiple players looking longer term and using the current market environment to secure direct supply through the purchase of assets in a depressed market. Another WA tenement will be the subject of such an announcement in the coming months and I have no doubt we will see more. Cape Lambert, Mt Gibson, the Gabon tenement etc will become more prevalent.
The value of Sundances project is undoubtedly huge and current market conditions, IMO, will not prevent funding but merely delay or alter the format in which it is completed.
