Hi bf1983, I think you are looking at Gross Tonnage and concluding that the ship can only transport 43,158 tonnes - see below. Gross Tonnage is a measure of volume, not weight that can be carried. As you know, IO is very heavy. DeadWeight on the other hand is a measure of weight that can be carried and so this ship can transport over 80,000 tonnes of IO as shown below. Now I'm not an expert on freight and have googled these terms to come to these conclusions so if someone knows for sure, could they please confirm? sdo
