While It's sometimes difficult to have much pity for people who embark on a illogical get rich quick schemes through pure greed and no grey matter I think the banks do have to be responsible that their lending practices make sense. There's guidelines to adhere to which seem to have been ignored in so many cases. It seems brokers, who are directly associated with the bank have been guilty of fraudulent behaviour to get their commissions. It's a grubby business which needs addressing. Who's at fault in this case? the broker or the bank or the customer? Let the court decide.
