Could not agree more but banks have many times now been caught giving bad advice and in some cases just corrupt advice. You only have to look at how many financial cases have gone to court in the last 10 years.
I was appalled at what the bank advised for me, younger people may have been convinced that reverse mortgage is a good thing and gone ahead with it.
It remains that if you are the expert in the field and you give advice for money then you are held accountable for that advice.
Lawyers, Doctors, Police, Accountants are all held responsible for their advice and the financial system and banks must be held accountable as well.
It seems that Junkies going from Doctor to Doctor to get prescriptions are not held responsible for their actions.
Junkies have more support and more rights than people given the wrong advice, good hard working people looking to better themselves.
