Their is not much in that post that I disagree with....however, the Yank's approach to issues (even back to WW2 Bomber Command days) appears to be hamfisted and as you say their RoE's , civilian participation programs,engagement with local leaders leaves a lot to be questioned.
About 20 years ago I decided that I would not debate VN any more as I felt I was only granted so many breaths in this life and wasnt going to waste them on the futile......maybe Iraq should be put on the same footing!
