Seems you neglected to point out the following para from the article:
"Building approvals are now 9.3 per cent higher, seasonally adjusted, than in the same month last year."
Lack of building approvals only means the market isn't red hot, and it may not be good for the building industry but it is hardly bad news for established home owners as new supply is not increasing as much.
