Morrison has finally just got his calculator out and realised he's blowing $4 bill per week on a coronavirus that has killed less than 100 people after spreading through our community for 6 months. Maybe some of our trusted medical advisors have also looked at the stats that sadly, but also, fortunately, see most of Australia's and the world's COVID-19 victims have been elderly with an average age of 80, already in nursing homes and many already suffering a morbidity condition. Covid-19 was not the killer virus that they modelled it to be. It's main victims were very similar to the victims of Influenza which we face every year without locking healthy people up.
So after the destruction of our economy, leaving our kids with massive debt and slaying small business, suddenly we wake up and there is a push now to reopen and get people back to work.
This raises the questions:
Is there a vaccine for Covid-19 - NO
Have we eradicated the virus - NO
and
Do we really think in just 5 weeks we have stopped this virus - NO (how many people untested are asymptomatic?)
Was the draconian shutdown measures implemented by Governments around the world ever justified - NO
but
Will there been massive job losses - YES
Will many small business never re-open - YES
Will many jobs be lost forever - Yes
Will housing prices fall - YES
Will rental prices fall - YES
Will our building industry collapse - YES
Will thousands or hundreds of thousands of Australian go bankrupt - YES
Will Australians super nest eggs decrease - YES
Will we have increased taxes - most likey a 15% GST or even a death/property Tax - Yes
Will we have to live with Covid-19 as we live with Influenza and HIV - YES
and
Has domestic violence increased - YES
Has it increased the stress and anxiety of our youth - YES
Has the number of suicides increased - YES
Has the confidence of small business irreparably damaged - YES
Has the world media censored professionals from reporting the facts on COVID-19 - YES
Has social media proved to be an effective tool to scare the masses - YES
and more importantly
Will Covid-19 virus still continue to live within our community - YES
Will it continue to spread to our elderly who were being protected - YES
Will older people still Die - YES
BUT most importantly
Will Morrison and his cronies lose and income and benefits - NO
What a bloody waste of our great country and lifestyle in the futile attempt to stop the spread/eradicate of a mild coronavirus. A significant percentage of the common cold is a coronavirus, and the worldwide deaths numbers that were available to everyone in March stats showed that COVID-19 was never going to be the killer virus they modelled it to be. With 150,000 people dying in the world each day, callously there were not enough body bags with a Covid-19 label on them. There still isn't. In the last 6 months, Covid-19 has only killed 250,000 people in the world - mostly elderly. In the last 6 months in the world, 23,750,000 people have died - again and unsurprisingly mostly elderly. That is nature. Influenza A was modelled to kill 400,000 people in Australia alone in 2019/2020 and again mostly elderly. We didn't shut down for this 400,000.

What's Causing My Cold?
https://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/cold-guide/common_cold_causes
ou know the drill. Your throat feels scratchy, you start sneezing and coughing, and pretty soon you're in the grip of a nasty cold. To add insult to injury, all that big-time misery is from a tiny invader -- a living thing called a virus.
And it's not just one you need to dodge. There are more than 200 that can lay you low.
It's likely that someday you'll have a close encounter with one of these types:
There are also a lot of viruses that doctors haven't identified. About 20%-30% of colds in adults are caused by these "unknown" bugs.
- Rhinovirus
- Coronavirus
- RSV and parainfluenza
How and When They Strike
Cold viruses have a lot in common, but each type has its own style, too.
Rhinovirus. This bunch is most active in early fall, spring, and summer. They cause 10%-40% of colds. You'll feel plenty miserable when you catch one, but the good news is they rarely make you seriously sick.

Coronavirus. These tend to do their dirty work in the winter and early spring. The coronavirus is the cause of about 20% of colds. There are more than 30 kinds, but only three or four affect people.
RSV and parainfluenza. These viruses cause 20% of colds. They sometimes lead to severe infections, like pneumonia, in young children.
What's Not Causing Your Cold
Time to set the record straight. There's no evidence that you get sick because you've been out in cold weather. And don't worry if you got overheated. It doesn't lead to a cold either.
Another myth says your diet is the cause. Don't pay attention to that tall tale. And ignore someone who says you're getting sick because your tonsils or adenoids are large.
On the other hand, research suggests that stress and allergies that affect your nose or throat may raise your chances of getting infected by a cold virus.
Other Causes of the Common Cold
About 10% to 15% of adult colds are caused by viruses also responsible for other, more severe respiratory illnesses.
The causes of 20%-30% of adult colds, presumed to be viral, remain unidentified. The same viruses that produce colds in adults appear to cause colds in children. The relative importance of various viruses in children's colds, however, is unclear because it's difficult to isolate the precise cause of symptoms in studies of children with colds.
There is no evidence that you can get a cold from exposure to cold weather or from getting chilled or overheated.
