America has been slowly turning around for the last 12 months or so and a big dump in 10 year paper occurred last night with a powerful move in the sharemarket. This may finally be the beginning of the long awaited move where risk assets are starting to look attractive again and interest rates begin to finally assume an upward bias again. The economy in the United States is building momentum again, make no mistake about it. The perfect storm that has been QBE over the last 12-24 months may finally be unwinding, the floods here notwithstanding. By the time it is 'seen' the share price will be 30-50% higher than it is now. That is just the way the market works. Bought it in August, just below purchase price with last dividend's share purchase costed at zero as I received those shares 5 weeks later, in September. I'm longer-term not concerned at all. Good job though, hiring an investor relations officer, not before time! More transparency wouldn't go astray.
