I'm not sure what the problem is here. The story was a comment piece by Laura Tingle, regardless of the accuracy of the statement, it is only the opinion of the writer. Political opinion columns aren't required to be balanced, only to represent the reporter's political opinion.

That is the problem with journalists , they report their opinion with little regard for the facts . A lot of the problems we face today is because these people have been given a base to expound their views which tend to be left wing . The ABC is a classic example , but as they are a taxpayer funded organisation they are required to present a balanced view but as we all know , ABC balance begins with 10 extreme left and 1 left opinions .
