I'm not sure what the problem is here. The story was a comment piece by Laura Tingle, regardless of the accuracy of the statement, it is only the opinion of the writer. Political opinion columns aren't required to be balanced, only to represent the reporter's political opinion.
If it was not clearly labelled, and passed itself off as a news piece then we might both be writing a strongly worded letter
