I just don't understand at all. How do companies get away with this behaviour. How is it legal?
You make a market sensitive promise that is related very strongly to certain commercial laws. You gain billions in investment because of science, promises, "in good faith" blah blah.
How on earth can a company such as MSB say
A) We will deliver results on XYZ date/timeframe
B) Fail not a little but so UTTERLY to deliver on A
C) Provide not one explanation as to why.
How is that legal in any way? Or even permissible. I do however holdout some hope that their results will be good but perhaps some complications that they are working through or negotiations with partners. But how are they allowed to NOT disclose the reason?
God a market statement should be demanded. Hi its MSB how you'all doing? We never ANN anything other than fluffy positive statements that are never actually punchbowl definitive :-) But you keep buying our stock don't you because of the "promise" which we will consistently fail to deliver on...
