@ $55 per 15 minute rapid detection test,
$4m / week would cover all of Queensland’s current testing needs presently met by PCR tests.
last estimates I found were that PCR testing was 2-3 times that cost and took a day or more.
could the potential savings of switching to RDT’s be exceeding $1b a year nationally?
and that wouldn’t even account for the productivity gains from not having to isolate while awaiting PCR results!
