Exactly and great tools are a pleasure to use, they make the whole activity a pleasure especially if you are doing some kind of artistic work. These tools last for decades with the usual sharpening and replacing the blades after about 30 years or more.
You buy cheap crap tools and you will be buying them again soon or you will hurt yourself and probably not keep doing what you want to do. I have 3 Chinese made wood planes on the shelf that are just crap but I kept buying the story so I bought another couple until I finally learnt the lesson my father tried to teach me. Buy good tools and you will have them for life.
How many times have I skinned my knuckles using cheap crap spanners on engines and other parts of cars.
About 18 months ago I took a couple of hand saws to the sharpening service to be sharpened. They dont sharpen these cheap saws anymore you just go and buy a new one. They are no where as good to use as the more expensive saws either.
