has anyone mentioned shopping at Aldi....my experience is they are between 50=70% cheaper on most items...and its good stuff, potatoes at .....50 cents to $1.00 a kg
you save between 50-70% on meat, vegies, most of the basics, margarine, milk bread, sugar etc
with meat, they display the name of the farm where the meat comes from...whether it is beef, lamb, pork or chicken
free range eggs at $2-$3 a doz...
sauces and condiments tinned fruit vegies are 1/3rd of the prices at safeway and coles...
they have a limited, smaller range than their competitors...
I have cut my food bill by 2/3rds since I discovered shopping at Aldi...
I dont buy their brand of dog food....have a fussy dog who refuses to eat anything but her favourites...and she loves her steak, top choice at that
so I shop at Aldi first, then whatever I cannot get there, I go to the others...
margarine at $1.00 compared to devondale at 4-6.00 at safeway
bacon and ham at 2-3 versus 5-6
toilet paper 3ply, large rolls 1600 sheets for 3.50 versus 6.00
cheese half price to the others ...good variety
I have noticed my Aldi store has doubled the customers past 6 months
then they have all these other incredible specials each week
for eg' a 47" Bauhn tv for $599 starts 28.7.11
look on their web site to find the closest store and the specials...
it will totally change the way you shop, and save you massive cash each week
I stopped shopping at safeway, after my first encounter with Aldi, went shopping with a friend, they got everything they wanted for $100 rather than the normal $300..I was amazed
ps the meat is always tender, which is not the case with the competitors
