Like LRFox, I will buy up bulk on non food essentials to see my dollar go further. But for food, I really think it's a trap for families to buy up big mostly due to the likelihood of more food being consumed simply because it's there. A packet of 20 chips won't last 1 week as intended if you have 3 young kids - if they run out in 4 days are you going to buy more or do they go without until the next spree?
