    often shorters who borrow shares pay a lending fee to whoever they lent the shares to
    dividends complicates matters not relevant to PNV at this stage who arent paying dividends. but often fundies required the shares to be returned when for voting or for dividends they get the dividend payment and then they can be lent out again.

    im not sure how it works when leveraged as an option though? does anyone know the answer for that? say i took out a CFD for 100,000 PNV shares short position. my understanding is the broker is betting against me. i have interest payments on the short position is share price goes up and also interest payments each day being leveraged

    but what happens with the broker? when a cfd is purchased is the broker then selling those shares on mkt?
