@tutor Thinking loud and don’t know the answer to this question in my head. Can institutional shorter buy shares from the custodian/original holder via off market trade and provide the ASX notice to cover their short position, then virtually 24-48 hrs later sell those shares back via off market trade to the custodian/original holder who then provides another ASX notice? I know it sounds and it is dodgy, and I am just thinking about do shorts have to buy on market or can they employ some cleaver engineering?
